I really liked this short story with 15 year old Max and his dad Victor Tookes. It's nice to see how close they still are as Max gets older. And of course it wouldn't be a Victor Tookes story without him having to go rescue someone.

Like I always say just plain awesome and I wish there was more! When I first started reading zombie books I happened across this series and it is still to this day in my top three favorites! I just got very excited to see another book coming out soon well it said October 2014 & tomorrow is the last day of October so I'm hoping it's going to be soon, I just love the characters and the whole story line just keeps me on the edge of my seat. Thank you Kirk for these short stories they are AWESOME lol!
Just waiting patiently for the next novel...been quite a while but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait - it always is!

This is my favorite Zombie series. The premise is original and is very entertaining. I have read everything in the series.
I really dig this universe, and Victor especially. I will read anything I can by Allmond, and look forward to many more extensions of the Tookes/E'clei saga.
Well for us that have read all the other books is a very nice little story. For the rest......I strongly suggest to read all the other books first and then enjoy this one.
